WHAT APPLIANCES DO YOU SERVICE?

We service refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, ovens, stoves and cook tops, ranges, microwave ovens, washers and dryers trash compactors, ice makers and room air conditioners of all the brands of major home appliances we sell. This includes Bosch, Maytag, GE, Thermador, Sub-Zero, Wolf, Jenn-Air, Whirlpool, Fridigaire and Electrolux.

HOW CAN I BE SURE I WON'T MISS MY APPLIANCE DELIVERY?

To book a delivery for your appliance(s) in the Hamilton Area , please call the order status department at 905-383-2146 ext # 2 . When booking a delivery, you will get a 2 to 4 hours window between the hours of 9am to 5pm – Monday to Friday ONLY! Our delivery teams on the road can also place a courtesy call to you 30 to 60 minutes before, to alert you when they are getting close .

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Appliance delivery and/or service can only be booked by the order status department , and not by the sales department ! You may request a delivery date at the time of purchase and it will be noted on your account however, CONFIRMING a delivery window can only be done up to 24 hours in advance, by the order status dept. only. Thank you!
Accepting Delivery:

We understand that on rare occasions a product can get damaged along the delivery process. Our delivery personnel will unbox every item that we deliver. You must notify the delivery personnel of any damages that you find as soon as the item is removed from the box. You will be asked to sign that you have inspected the delivered product and that it is in good condition. If any damage is found when opening your order, we will promptly repair or replace the damaged item.

DO YOU INSTALL THE APPLIANCES?

Yes! We employ all our service and install technicians. We do not contract in outside installers, gas fitters or service techs. This helps us maintain the highest standard of customer service.

DO YOU WARRANTY THE APPLIANCES YOU SELL?

Most appliances come with a 1 year limited liability warranty that covers the entire appliance, parts & labour. Ask in store for more details as to the limits of these warranties.

WILL YOU REMOVE MY OLD APPLIANCE?

Yes! We will take away the appliance your new Peter Martin Appliance is replacing.

WHAT DOES ENERGY STAR QUALIFIED MEAN?

Products that are ENERGY STAR® qualified are equivalent to or better than standard products, with one important difference: They use less energy. To earn the ENERGY STAR rating, products must meet strict energy efficiency criteria set by the Canadian Environmental Protection Agency or the Natural Resources Canada. Because they use less energy, these products save money on your electricity bill and help protect the environment by reducing harmful emissions from power plants.

CAN YOU TELL ME WHATS WRONG WITH MY APPLIANCE OVER THE PHONE?

Though we try our best to provide our customers with all the information they can to diagnose your appliance issues, simply put, NO. It is nearly impossible. Any type of phone diagnosis would only be speculation, because simple issues such as a broken wire can portray themselves as much large problems such as bad control boards or motors.

WHY DO I NEED MY MODEL NUMBER? WHERE CAN I FIND MY MODEL NUMBER?

We will use your model number to research your particular appliance before the job to look for any service bulletins put out by the manufacturer, download any applicable manuals and diagrams onto our portable device, and also pull any parts out of our inventory to bring along for the job. These are such important steps that we pretty much insist on knowing your model number ahead of time, unless you are physically unable to get it for us. Every appliance has a sticker or tag on it with the model number. They are generally accessible without having to pull the appliance out, either on the inside of a door or the kick panel at the bottom of your appliance.

IS MY APPLIANCE WORTH REPAIRING?

We cannot advise you on this until we see your appliance and diagnose what’s wrong with it. However, the question to consider is: Is it cost-effective to repair my appliance? In deciding whether to repair your appliance or buy a new one, you need to weigh these factors:

  • The age of your appliance (Is it older than 15 years?)
  • The make and model of your appliance
  • The condition and appearance of your appliance
  • Cost of delivery and installation of a new appliance
  • Appliance repairs typically costs about 50% less than appliance replacement

Without question, brands such as GE Profile, Sub-Zero, Thermador, Wolf, and Kitchen-Aid are almost always worth repairing and are not intended to be disposable
